The Big Bad News

Hi - This is Mindy posting for Lori...
The Peace Corps left a message this morning saying that the "NMQ" (Not Medically Qualified) finding was upheld in the hearing. So, it is back to the drawing board for Lori. I spoke with her a few minutes ago and she is disappointed but not discouraged. We are both optimistic about other opportunities available for the type of work she wants to do. Lori has made lots of good contacts in Honduras, so we are hoping for a good insider tip on a job. She is looking forward to being able to stay in a Spanish speaking country and to be choosey about the type of work she will be doing.
But, we are still super pissed at the Peace Corps and think the are ridiculous for turning my sister down!!! How dare they!
More to come, Lori is busy having drinks with her Peace Corps friends - then she will post a likely-not-so-sober message herself :)
