Reading Club

One of my more successful activities this summer has been reading club. At least one morning a week I invite the neighborhood kids to come over and read, which usually turns into playing dominoes and drawing, but that's ok. I try to sneak in some education, helping them to label their drawings and such. The problem recently has been that the kids are so excited that they show up an HOUR early. Last week I had not yet showered, dressed, eaten, cleaned or even really prepared anything. Of course it's great that they're so excited to come over, but it's hard to be happy about that in my pajamas at 8am!!
