Photos of Tikal

Here are some photos of the famous Tikal ruins, a Mayan city of 100-400,000 that existed in various forms from about 700BC-900AD. We "slept" in these hammocks - kept awake really by the sounds of mosquitos, howler monkeys, and who knows what else - and climbed the temple at 5am to see the sun rise through the mist. Absolutely beautiful.
