first days of school

At first it was very frustrating – February 15 arrived, the first day for teachers, but when I went to the schools the teachers weren’t there. At the director’s meeting I made a little speech offering to work with the schools in a variety of ways but nobody came to talk to me after the meeting, so I left with nothing to do still. February 22, students started, but, as is typical in the US too, there was confusion about enrollment and who belonged where. With my vacation starting in a mere two weeks, I started to feel like I was in for more waiting around til I get back, but then decided my motto would be "be pleasantly persistent and see what falls into place." And finally, things are falling into place!!!
