COS Conference

This week was the COS, or Close of Service, Conference for the volunteers from my training group, G-20. We spent 3 days in a gorgeous hotel, doing lots of evaluation of our service and making suggestions for future changes.
It was so great to spend time with everyone! We also heard from a panel of development professionals and got to start thinking about how to update our resumes and present all the stuff we've done in the past two years. There was a huge table (below) with info on grad schools and job-search tips and such.
Also for the first time ever I attended a session on personal finance and learned about IRAs and other very grown up topics. It was really helpful to get us started thinking about getting ourselves set up financially after PC. And of course we talked about reverse culture shock and some of the challenges often faced by returned PCVs in the US.
And of course there was plenty of time to catch up with friends. Here we discuss our financial futures over liters of beer in the hotel suite. This is the last time we'll all be together before our Swearing Out on April 18. It's going to go by oh so fast!
